Emily M. Anderson
Co-Founder • Author & Illustrator of Meet Ada Bee • Creative Visionary
Emily M. Anderson is the imagination and heart behind Main Characters Only, LLC devoted to creativity and kindness. She is shaped by resilience, whimsy, and her deep love for her daughter, Sofia- whose spirit fuels every new idea. The colorful illustrations, playful narratives, and ever-growing universe of bright, buzzing characters that Emily brought to life as the author and illustrator of Meet Ada Bee inspire courage, curiosity, friendship, and an appreciation for the beauty in everyday moments.
Experiencing an author and illustrator read their book aloud at her elementary school was a personal game-changer for Emily. She was able to conceptualize that her favorite books- ALL books- were made by people like her expressing their creativity and passion through art.
Today, she brings that special moment to classrooms and community spaces empowering children to see their own potential for greatness in all that they fancy.
Carmen L. Paredes

Carmen L. Paredes brings warmth, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to community to Main Characters Only, LLC. Born in Santa Cruz, Bolivia and raised in the United States, she is a fluent Spanish-speaker that carries her cultural heritage with pride, weaving it into her personal values and the work she does every day.
With both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Business Administration, Carmen blends strategic insight with heartfelt leadership. Her life is deeply rooted in service: she has volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, SOME (So Others Might Eat), Catholic Charities, and more. Whether building homes, serving meals, or supporting families across borders, Carmen leads with compassion and authenticity.
Outside of her community work, Carmen brings an adventurous spirit to everything she does—from travel and exploring different cuisines to hiking, and sporting events, she appreciates every opportunity to try new things. Her curiosity, joy, and zest for life bring a grounding and uplifting balance to the Main Characters Only team.
As Co-Founder and Operations Lead, Carmen ensures that every event, storytime, and project runs with intention, cultural appreciation, and heart. Her leadership helps build an environment where children, families, and communities feel welcomed, valued, and connected.
